Lyman-alpha is a spectral transition of the hydrogen atom. It emits in the ultraviolet, nominally, and is all kinds of useful in astronomy.
I am a person, not a spectral transition of hydrogen. I emit in the thermal infrared, presumably. I'm not yet all kinds of useful in astronomy.
This journal has approximately nothing to do with hydrogen emission spectra and everything to do with ridiculous Star Trek stuff. I've recently discovered a fascination with Strangers On The Internets, so friends welcome. Hi!
